Adversarial versus Inquisitorial Systems of Justice
David F. Jackson QC has been at the Bar since 1964. He became a Queen's Counsel in 1976. He was a Federal Court Judge in the mid 1980s. He has held numerous senior positions with the Bar Association of Queensland and the New South Wales Bar Association. He has held government inquiries, including the inquiry in 2004 known as the Jackson Inquiry into aspects of the James Hardie arrangements. He has a very distinguished career as an appellate counsel, especially in constitutional law. He was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2007.
